This is a very cherished spot for the artist and several sketching trips have been made to Fjøløy and other pieces including linoprint celebrate this. In this piece layers of paint have been used to add depth and texture, the paint is impasto in places and the sublime tranquil atmosphere projected by this painting relaxes the mind.
